From all that I found, the animals, birds and insects were the most satisfying and difficult. They do not do what they like and tend to do what they expect them to do. The best way to photograph animals is freedom. But I'm always ready to go to the zoo. In the past, it was very difficult to get a good picture at the zoo due to the wire mesh or the rods from the cage in the back. Now the zoo is improving and the habitat may look almost natural if the camera is pointed.
Herons (top right), although not strictly "in the wild". But I think they can argue in the natural habitat. The family stayed at a church tower in a small town near Seville, southern Spain. The villagers have been familiar with them for years and thought they brought luck to the village.
Manual focus
When taking pictures of animals, you have to be very patient or do not do anything for a long time or have so many inexact behaviors that they can not be stored in the viewfinder. What you should do is study the animals for a while and try to guess the next movement. Birds usually follow a given flight path, so if you can find what it is you can wait until they fly through a certain point. I often switch to manual focus when I take a bird photo because autofocus usually ends up trying to focus on the void.
